Ah, this is the story you mentioned to me. I had been following a news thread about this whole hospital situation already. It's truly sucky, and could happen to ANY of us who happen to love someone to whom we are not 'het married' or immediate family. I have feared this kind of thing, as certain of my beloved friends age. What would happen if Cronk were hospitalized; could they bar me from the room? Could his son do this? Probably, if he felt like it. (he hardly knows me, in fact not at all, hasn't seen me since he was a toddler). Scary, wrong, all wrong, criminal cruelty. Grrr. It should not matter one whit what a person's lifestyle/gender orientation is...all that should matter is the dying person's wishes...
